Jacques Cartier Bridge sidewalk

Jacques Cartier Bridge sidewalk

Located on the downstream side of the Jacques Cartier Bridge, the sidewalk stretches over 2.7 km and has an incredible view of the east side of the city and the Port of Montreal. Enhance your excursion through the pedestrian crossing of the Île Sainte-Hélène pavilion, where a large mural takes you on a quick trip back in time.

Schedule

Active mobility users can use the Jacques Cartier Bridge sidewalk according to the season’s schedule:

Regular season schedule: open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week*

Active mobility users can use the Jacques Cartier Bridge sidewalk at any time of the day or night.

*JCCBI would like to remind you that throughout the regular season, occasional closures will be necessary to perform certain maintenance work and that it is essential to respect the closure notices for safety reasons.

Winter season schedule: the sidewalk will be closed for the winter season (as of December 16, 10:30 p.m.) due to low use over the past two years of winter operation.
